Due to the extraordinary situation in Slovakia in connection with the pandemic, the deadline for donating 2 (3)% to non-profit organizations and associations has been postponed.
Employees to whom the tax return is made by the employer:
- previously, the employer had to give an employee a Confirmation of payment of tax by April 15 = the form needed to donate 2% and by the end of April we were supposed to send the completed documents to the tax office;
- now: the employer will give us a Confirmation by the 15th day of the second month after the end of the pandemic and all necessary forms must be submitted (in person or by post) to the tax office by the end of the second month after the end of the pandemic.
This means: If the government declares the end of the pandemic in July, the employer is obliged to issue a Confirmaton of Tax Payment for 2019 no later than 15 September 2020 and we are obliged to submit the Statement together with this Confirmation to the tax office no later than 30 September 2020.
Those who worked at least 40 volunteer hours last year and have a confirmation from the organization can donate 3%.
You may say that with those few euros that will make 2 (3)% you won't help anyone anyway, but it's not like that... Every euro helps. And it's up to you to whom you help with them. Of course we will be happy if you give them to us DOMA = AT HOME, but you can also give them to another organization.
